Field Workshop abides by all Wisconsin Homeschool requirements. Our innovative partnership with Greendale Schools and Greendale Park & Rec allows us to provide daytime academic programming and enrichment at an affordable cost. Greendale Schools is not, and at no time will be, directing programming requirements or assuming jurisdiction over any home school.
Q: Can I count the hours my child is in classes at Field Workshop?
A: That depends! If your child's class has children from more than 1 family, then under Wisconsin Homeschool Law, you may not count those hours. Some of our classes run with only 1 child or family unit - in this case those hours CAN be counted towards your total hours.
Wisconsin Homeschool Law requires 875 hours of single family instruction per year. With over 5,800 waking hours in a single year, meeting this requirement can be easily met, even with regular group outings, field trips, and other multi-family experiences. Ultimately it is the responsibility of each Homeschool Administrator to determine how to best meet this requirement.
